TALBOT COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - One man is behind bars following a drug bust at a home on Dairy Loop Road in Talbot County, GA.

Investigators say they executed a search warrant on the home of Tavara Jermaine Stanford, 33.

On July 16, authorities seized more than six ounces of crack cocaine, an ounce and a half of powder cocaine, more than 700 ecstasy tablets and five ounces of marijuana.

In addition to the drugs, a firearm, digital scales, a vehicle and more than $26,000 in cash was also seized from Stanford’s home.

Stanford is charged with several drug offenses, along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The Talbot County Sheriff's office along with a number of other task forces assisted in the narcotic search warrant execution.

“I appreciate all the effort put forth by the Narcotic Agents, Deputies and all the agencies involved. This was a very successful operation,” Sheriff Chuck Smith advised.

The Upson Regional Narcotics Task Force comprised of the Upson County Sheriff’s Office, Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and the Thomaston Police Department along with the assistance of Talbot County Sheriff’s Office helped with the arrest of Stanford.
