FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) – The Soldier Show is returning to Fort Benning and it's free and open to the public.
The U.S. Army Soldier Show is a 90-minute high energy live musical production that showcases the Army's most talented soldiers. This includes musicians, vocalists and dancers.
These are active duty soldiers from various military occupational specialties who auditioned for a chance to perform in military's most beloved musical tradition.
This event has been touring annually since 1983, but the tradition started with Irving Berlin wrote and directed the first Army Soldier Show in 1918.
The show will be held in Marshall Auditorium in McGinnis Wickam Hall on Eckel Ave. on Aug. 15. It will start at 7 p.m., but the doors will be open at 6 p.m.
Guests who do not have military ID will need to stop at the Visitors Center at the 185 entrance to Fort Benning to get a pass. Anyone 16 and older will need a photo ID.
