COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Some Columbus schools are among the finalists for the 4th Annual STEM Education Awards.
These awards were created to recognize and celebrate schools and other organizations.
They give recognition for outstanding efforts and achievement in supporting and promoting science, technology, engineering, and math education in Georgia.
Four Columbus area schools and organizations were among the finalists for the 2015 awards.
They are Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center, Columbus Technical College, Dimon Elementary Magnet, and Pratt & Whitney.
The ceremony will be held Friday Aug. 28 in Atlanta. Click here to learn more about the program.
