Phenix City library hosts 'Snapshot Day'

RUSSELL COUNTY, AL  (WTVM) – Wednesday marks Snapshot Day for Alabama Public Libraries.

This is a day to showcase what the library does. They also want people to fill out a survey about how valuable the local library is to them.

The Alabama Public Service Library service wants to know things such as how often to you use a library computer, how many books to you check out in a week, or how many people attend programs hosted by your local library.

“We have a lot people that come in here every day. We had a gentleman tell us we are like family and I think we are because we help people out with their needs whatever that maybe,” Michelle Kilday said, Director of Phenix City library.

The Phenix City Russell County Library police were putting on a puppet show for children.

The results of the event will be used to determine future funding for local libraries.
