Juvenile escapees captured

Two teens escaping from a Columbus youth detention center are back behind bars.
Local law enforcement from several agencies has been searching for the run-a-way escapees all day Thursday.

According to sheriff deputies the two juveniles were captured in the woods along the railroad tracks on Macon Road around 4:30 Thursday afternoon. The search moved to different locations around the youth detention center.

Several agencies such as the Muscogee County Sheriff office, Columbus police and workers from the detention center, a helicopter and blood hounds were also used to look for the teens.

During all of this, the juveniles still had on handcuffs. Once they were caught the scene cleared out pretty quick. No word yet on where the teens will be transported to.
