CPD search for suspect in alleged carjacking Aug. 12

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A man and a woman were victims in an alleged motor vehicle theft on Aug. 12, according to Columbus Police Department incident reports.

The incident reports indicate that the 25-year-old man and the 30-year-old woman had a pistol pointed at them as the man's car was taken from 2840 Warm Springs Road, the location of Club Hill Apartments. 

Police were called to the 4200 block of Rosemont Drive around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, where the crime was reported to authorities.

The silver 2012 Hyundai Elantra, belonging to the male victim, was stolen during the crime.

The report indicates that shots were fired, but no one was injured. A vague description was given of the suspect to police.
