Most Wanted: Edric Robinson murder case

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

Phenix City Police are searching for a killer and they need your help.

On June 27, the body of 22-year old Edric Robinson was found shot to death on the side of a house on 17th Avenue South in Phenix City.

"Upon arrival police officers from Phenix City discovered a black male suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest," said Officer Paul Moody with the Columbus Police Department.

Since Robinson's murder friends and family have gathered for a vigil in his memory.

However, knowing that his killer or killers are still at large leaves a heavy burden for many of them to bare – especially for the victim's father Eddie Robinson.

"My son got killed, I need some closure," Robinson said.

Since the shooting, police in Phenix City have received numerous tips from the public regarding possible suspects who may have been involved in the murder, but to this day no actual witnesses have come forward.

"Any information a witness comes forward with is very beneficial in finding out the result of this murder case," Officer Moody said.

So until someone does come forward, family and friends of Edric Robinson will have to live with the reality that the person or persons who killed their loved one is still out there.

"Somebody brutally murdered him. He was shot like nine times and he didn't even see it coming.

If you know anything about the murder of Edric Robinson you are asked to call Phenix City police at (334) 448-2837 or you can call Columbus police at (706) 653-3400.

Remember, a reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that will lead to an arrest.
