COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The United Way luncheon is kicking off on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the Columbus Trade Center.
The annual event laid out the goals of the Unites Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, which funds 50 separate programs in the region.
Hundreds of people who represented businesses and partnered with the United Way were also at the event.
"It's just an honor to serve as Campaign Co Chair this year. Our community has such a legacy of generosity and it's just an honor to keep that legacy of caring for our neighbors continuing in our community," Steve Daivs said, United Way Campaign Co-chair.
Davis also announced that the goal for 2015 is to raise a over $7 million.
