Country's Midnight Express 5K raises money for the visually impaired

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – It's that time of year again for the Country's Midnight Express 5K to give back to the community.

This event has raised over $350,000 for the community, and each year they meet with teachers who work with the visually impaired students, and they purchase the equipment needed to help make each year more successful for students.

Country’s Midnight Express has donated over $100,000 to CSU and CVCC over the past several years, and they have also provided scholarships for the visually impaired.

You can register for this event for $27.50 and that includes a t-shirt, Country’s Barbecue sandwich coupon, ice tea, popcorn and fruit. This event is located on Mercury Drive and will start at midnight on Saturday until 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
