COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A local domestic violence forum was held at CSU on Saturday, and the big question was - "why do victim's stay?"
The forum on addressed this issue and there were several answers to this question.
Some of the reasons may include, getting cut from insurance, losing a car and the lack of nonprofit outside resources.
According to statistics, 85 percent of abusers are men and there are also female abusers.
Around 40 people attended the forum and it was hosted by the local chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity and the Domestic Violence Roundtable, Inc. Group.
