Auburn police investigate weekend burglary

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

The Auburn Police Division is investigating a burglary that occurred Saturday, August 22 at residence located in the 900 block of W. Magnolia Avenue. 

Officers responded on Monday, August 24 after receiving a call that someone unlawfully entered the residence and took a back pack containing electronic devices valued more than $1,500.

The suspect committing the burglary and the vehicle he was traveling in was captured on video surveillance.  He appears to be black male in his early 20s, stands between 5’8” to 6 feet tall weighing between 180 to 220 pounds. 

The suspect was last seen wearing a red sleeveless shirt, dark jeans, baseball cap, and athletic shoes with white strips. 

The Auburn Police Division Detective Section is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. 

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or the investigation is encouraged to call the Police Division at 334-501-3140 or the anonymous tip line at 334-246-1391.
