COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - An armed robber is on the loose and Columbus police need your help locating him.
An armed robbery took place at the CB&T Bank on Benning Drive in Columbus on June 11 around 8:30 p.m.
In the surveillance footage, you can see a man approach a truck.
The woman inside the truck was trying to deposit money from her business into the bank's ATM machine when everything went wrong.
"The Shoe Show business, the Shoe Show employee was trying to deposit the business money, and from the security camera at CB&T Bank there's video footage of the suspect and them attempting to rob the Shoe Show employee," said Officer Paul Moody with the Columbus Police Department.
Officer Moody says there were two robbers that day – one who approached the victim and the other driving what police describe as a black and gold or black and grey Toyota Camry with bumper stickers on the bottom section of the car.
"This was an armed robbery outside the ATM at the bank," Officer Moody said. "These are very dangerous individuals."
According to Officer Moody, the suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money but left the victim shaken but unharmed.
Now it's your turn to step up to the plate. If you recognize this suspect you are asked to come forward with information that can help police put this dangerous criminal in jail.
"Just safely call 911," Officer Moody said. "Do not approach these individuals, call 911 and report it to the police department."
