AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Auburn police arrested 37-year-old Demetrius Nelson from Montgomery, AL on several charges.
Nelson was charged with burglary in the third-degree, theft of property in the second-degree and theft of property in the third-degree.
The arrest is the result of an investigation of a burglary that was reported to the police on Monday, July 13. This incident occurred in a building located in the 400 block of Lem Morrison Drive.
According to the victims, someone unlawfully entered their offices and stole electronic devices with a total value of $2,000.
An investigation into the incident was initiated by Auburn police, and as a result Nelson was developed as a suspect.
Nelson was taken into custody and charged with two counts of burglary in the third-degree, two counts of theft of property in the second-degree and one count of theft of property in the third-degree.
He was transported to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $13,000 bond.
