OPD seeks suspect in June hotel burglary

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) - The Opelika Police Department is looking to identify the suspect caught in surveillance footage attempting to break into several hotel rooms in June.

According to an OPD press release, on June 17 around 1:30 a.m. CST, a suspect was caught on camera attempting to burglarize several hotel rooms at the Quality Inn, located at 1102 Columbus Parkway.

Police say he did gain entry into one room, where he stole a hotel customer’s property.

The suspect is described as a black male standing at approximately 5'9" and weighing about 235 pounds, and was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe.
