Chambers Co. task force arrest man connected to Aug. drug bust

VALLEY, AL (WTVM) – A Valley man who evaded police and jumped out of a window as law enforcement busted his drug operation in August has been detained.

Law enforcement says Brandon Coker was detained after more than three weeks on the run following an Aug. 18 drug bust at a Riverview community home in Valley that uncovered a major methamphetamine operation.  

Coker was found inside his home, located in the 1300 block of California Street, where Chambers County Drug Task Force agents say two more meth labs in his home.

Coker is charged with the following from both the incident on Aug. 18 and Friday's arrest: 

  • Trafficking in methamphetamine 
  • Possession of manufacture paraphernalia 
  • 2 counts of manufacture of methamphetamine 
  • possession of marijuana 
  • 2 counts of drug paraphernalia 
  • 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance 
  • possession of a forged instrument - attempt to elude
