LANETT, AL (WTVM) - Prosecutors say a final arrest has been made in a 2014 murder and now five men are charged with killing a Lanett man during an alleged drug-related incident.
Chambers County prosecutors state that Thomas "Brent" Starkey and four other men are charged in the April 2014 murder of Christopher Griggs.
The assistant district attorney says Starkey was the last one to be served with a murder indictment because he's been serving time in an Alabama prison on a previous, unrelated conviction.
Prosecutors believe Starkey was the triggerman and is alleged to have killed Griggs in a drug-related feud.
Starkey and four other defendants are scheduled to go to trial in the spring of 2016.
