COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Some Columbus area young ladies are just a contest away from Miss America.
They competed in the Miss Columbus and Miss Columbus Outstanding Teen pageant Saturday night at Brookstone's Turner Arts Center.
Caroline Carroll, a sophomore at the University Of Georgia, was named Miss Columbus 2016. She is from Americus and is the daughter of John and Elizabeth Carroll.
Maloreigh Todd was crowned Miss Columbus' Outstanding Teen. She is from Columbus and is the daughter Charles and Gina Todd.
Callie Rice was named Miss Greater Columbus Outstanding Teen and is the daughter of David and Amy Rice.
Katelyn Pawlowski was runner up to Miss Columbus and Olivia Gauthier was runner up to Miss Columbus' Outstanding Teen.
The winners will represent Columbus in Miss Georgia in June and will go on to the 2016 Miss America competitions.
