TSYS gives $25K to PCSB for new STEM lab

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - TSYS gave a contribution to the Phenix City School Board for a new STEM lab.

It gave $25,000 for the coding lab. TSYS' CEO says about 25 percent of its workforce comes from East Alabama, and since they are big on education, technology and coding they gladly gave the contribution.

"It's all about education and maybe a little bit selfishly about technology and coding. That's what we do so who knows you may wake up one day and a lot of these who went through the STEM Program over in Phenix City are coders at TSYS, that's what we like to see," Troy Woods said, Chairman and CEO of TSYS.

The name of the room will be called the "TSYS Coding Lab."
