APD: 3 arrested on drug charges; 1 out on attempted murder bond

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Three people were arrested on an Auburn roadway traveling with a number of drugs and a firearm on Thursday – and one suspect is out of jail on bond for a serious charge.

The Auburn Police Department states that around 6:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, three people were arrested following a traffic stop on U.S. 29 South near Lee Road 17 in Auburn. During the search of the car, cocaine, marijuana, pills and a firearm were discovered.

Lorenzo Andrew Greene, 20, from Enterprise, AL. is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and carrying a pistol without a permit.  His bond amount is $59,000.

Green was out on bond from Dale County, AL on an attempted murder charge.

The other two suspects, Charles Mandrell Carpenter, 30,  and Tameka Monae Dubose, 20, both of Elba, AL, are charged with cocaine trafficking, first-degree marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance. Their bond amounts are $56,000 each.

All of the suspects are currently being held at the Lee County Detention Center. All of the drugs are currently being evaluated by the Department of Forensic Sciences as evidence. Additional charges may come following the completion of those tests.
