COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The wife of a prominent presidential candidate addressed the city of Columbus on Thursday.
Janet Huckabee, the wife of GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, has been traveling throughout Georgia working on his campaign.
She spoke at the Meritage restaurant in downtown Columbus before visiting the National Infantry Museum on Thursday. She talked about how her husband is the only candidate who supports a fair tax which eliminates the IRS.
While she had nothing to say about Donald Trump's high approval numbers she did talk about how a person reacts under pressure.
"I think people need to look at a candidate not just what they say and not what they see as a record. They need to look at the whole person. When that person is squeezed, what is going to come out. Because as a president of the United States they will be squeezed," Huckabee said.
Mike Huckabee won Georgia in 2008 Republican primary. Despite low poll numbers, the former Arkansas Governor Huckabee says he is in the race for the long haul.
