COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A recent survey by Nielsen says that 91 percent of adults in the U.S. say they snack at least once a day.
Dr. Paula Walker-King stopped by the morning show to give some tips about what type of snacks we should be eating and gave some examples.
Snacking is important to maintain energy, and whatever you decide to snack on should have protein, fiber, and unsaturated fats. Protein is important because it gives you a sense of fullness and keeps you from having cravings
Examples of healthy snacks include: Greek yogurt, handful of almonds and pistachios, cheese, and vegetables dipped in hummus.
