COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Georgia's Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, took a visit to Columbus on Wednesday.
Kemp is the Chief Elections Official for the state, and he has been making stops around the state due to the huge election cycle.
He is also going around raising awareness about Georgia's presidential primary which is March 1.
"Because of the coalition we have built in Georgia we have seen a lot of presidential candidates coming through our state and rest of the southeast. So it has really put us on the map in regards to the primary election for president which is very important," Kemp explained.
Kemp says we should be seeing more presidential candidates making trips to southern states over the next five months.
