PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - Central High school is offering up a "tasty" curriculum for some of its students.
Central High students are opening up their very own student-run restaurant called "The Brick" on Friday, October 2.
The restaurant is part of the school's culinary arts program open to tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders.
Students get an opportunity to learn firsthand about the tools of restaurant management.
The restaurant will serve burgers, pizza, and fish among other items.
Twelfth grader A'Miracle Wiggins talked about what she has learned in the program.
"You will come in here thinking that you will know what to do, but there is more to it," Wiggins said. "Like cutting stuff, it's not as easy as you think it is."
The restaurant's hours will be Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Those going to the restaurant should check in with the school's front office first.
