AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – The Auburn Police Division arrested 41-year-old Milford Crowder Jr. from Auburn on several charges.
Crowder was charged with unlawful breaking and entering of a motor cycle, theft of property in the third-degree, public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Around 12:20 a.m. on Saturday the police responded to a suspicious person call at a residence located in the 600 block of Pitts Street, and they were informed of an individual trying to enter the home.
Within minutes of receiving the call, a first responding officer arrived on the scene and located Crowder in the driveway of the residence attempting to flee.
He was contacted and taken into custody for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia. Crowder was then charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and theft of property after the investigation showed that he had stolen a bicycle from the residence, binoculars and assorted change from a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche that was parked in the driveway.
Crowder was taken to the Lee County Jail and he will be eligible for a $5,500 bond.
