(WTVM) – The Georgia Department of Transportation has been notified of several locations of lane closures scheduled around Columbus. Weather permitting, closures will begin Monday, Oct. 12 through Friday, Oct. 16.
Beginning on Oct. 10, a double lane closure will be installed on SR 22/US 80 for the removal of a damaged bridge sign structure.
Beginning Saturday, October 10 at 6 a.m. until noon, the double lane closure will be installed between Moon Road and Bradley Park Drive. During these hours, traffic may also be paced with the assistance of the Columbus Police Department.
- SR 1/Veteran’s Parkway between Commercial Drive and Old Whittlesey Road; single lane closure for utility work. Contractor will be boring for new gas line; Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 16, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
- SR 1/Veteran’s Parkway between Hancock Road and Galena Road; single lane closure for utility work. Contractor will be installing new drainage structures; Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 16, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
