COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - There were more about plans for a new school being built in Columbus.
At the Muscogee County school board work session Monday night, they announced that a committee of stakeholders met recently to discuss and share input on the new Spencer High School.
Education specifications have been approved for that too.
The district spokesperson also tells us they are doing environmental site studies for the Spencer High project, along with what's called a "Memorandum of Understanding" land swap with the Columbus Consolidated government.
The next step is picking an architect, then move to the design phase.
The school board also discussed updates on special purpose local option sales tax or SPLOST projects overall from 2009 and 2015.
