PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

The Phenix City teen accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian will now face two counts of murder.

Josh Gorman, 17, is suspected of killing 31-year-old Nathan Wombles during a hit and run crash in April.

The father of two was hit along Bonanza Drive in Phenix City.

Gorman did not appear before a judge on Wednesday because his attorney filed a waiver, asking for a youthful offender status in his case.

His next court date is Nov. 10 at 10 a.m.
