COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The "Ronald McDonald House Day of Change" campaign comes to a McDonald's restaurant near you on Thursday.
The one day event replaces the annual "Round Up" campaign from years past but has the same goal of helping the Ronald McDonald house continue its mission of providing a "home away from home" for the families of critically ill children.
Customers at Columbus area McDonald's will be asked to consider donating their change to the local Ronald McDonald House.
To generate awareness and guarantee a successful campaign, community leaders and radio/TV/sports personalities have been asked to join the McDonald's crew and be recognized as a Ronald McDonald House "celebrity."
Several News Leader 9 personalities will be at local McDonald's collecting donations for one to two hours.
If you'd like to help the Ronald McDonald House and say hello to some of our WTVM news anchors, here's a list of the hours and locations where you will find them Thursday.
-Roslyn Giles will be at the McDonald's on North Veteran's from 9 to 10 a.m.
