EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) - The former fiancée of a Massachusetts man convicted of murdering his 7-year-old son from Eufaula has pleaded guilty to her role in the boy's death, but avoided prison time.
Tiffany Hyman was placed on probation for two years after prosecutors said she didn't do enough to stop the abuse.
Nathaniel Turner died at a hospital two days after he was beaten by his dad, Leslie Schuler, on Father's Day in 2009.
The boy lived with his grandmother in Eufaula but was spending the summer with his father.
Schuler pleaded guilty to second degree murder and killed himself in prison.
