CSU celebrates homecoming with a week of events

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

From football and tailgating, to concerts, a parade, and even fireworks, you won’t want to miss any of the events at CSU this fall.  

There’s something for the entire family to enjoy, so check out the list of events below:

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21

Cougar Madness: Women's Soccer

6 p.m. – Walden Soccer Complex

Join us at a "Sea of Red" for an Athletic Pep Rally while the Women's Soccer team takes on North Georgia.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22

Doughboy Classic Football Game

CSU Club Football Team vs. Ft. Benning Doughboys

7 p.m. – A.J. McClung Stadium

Don't miss this annual football game hosted this year by CSU at A.J. McClung Stadium. Watch the Cougars defend their win last year over the Doughboys in this exciting game of rival football. Go early and bring the entire family for fun activities held at the stadium for members of the CSU Community and Ft. Benning!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23

2nd Annual Downtown Domination

5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.- Uptown Columbus, Broadway

Alumni are encouraged to stop by the Alumni Association tent on Broadway to pick up your complimentary CSU Alumni Association Homecoming item! Supplies are limited and only for CSU alumni! 
 

CSU Homecoming Parade

6:30 p.m. – Uptown Columbus, Broadway

Line up on Broadway and celebrate with students, alumni and the community through a colorful parade.
 

Uptown Columbus' Outdoor Concert

7 p.m. - Stage area is located in the center of 1100 block on Broadway.

Don't miss this popular free Columbus activity fun for all attending and enjoy great music in the midst of all the fun locales on Broadway.

    COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The funeral for the shooting victim who was involved in a road rage incident was held Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred in Funchess hall at Auburn.  A hazardous chemical was reportedly poured down the drain during the cleanup process in one of the rooms being cleaned. The chemical did not go all the way down the drain and caused an odor in the building.  One person inside the building reported lightheadedness as a result of the fumes and i...
