Monday Alabama Governor, Robert Bentley is responding to Hillary Clinton's criticism of the D-M-V closures.
Governor Bentley released a statement saying the decision is not based on race and anyone suggesting so is promoting a political agenda.
While speaking in Alabama Saturday, Clinton called the state's plan "a blast from the Jim Crow past".
Clinton goes on to say, "Fifty years after Rosa Parks sat and Dr. Martin Luther King Junior marched and John Lewis bled, it is hard to believe that we are back having this same debate about whether or not every American gets the chance to vote and exercise his rights."
Governor Bentley released a statement saying "Alabama will continue to work toward solutions to solve our budget shortfalls. Meanwhile Mrs. Clinton can work to solve our country's 18 Trillion dollar debt; in the unfortunate event she is elected President."
