Auburn teen arrested and charged with burglary

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Auburn police arrested 18-year-old Octavious Towels on a felony warrant charging him with burglary in the third-degree.

Auburn Police responded to a suspicious person call around 1:30 a.m. at a residence located in the 300 block of Webster Road.

Officers were given a description of an individual that was seen outside of an unoccupied residence.  When officers arrived on the scene they discovered that someone had forcibly entered the residence.

Within minutes, officers located Towels nearby and he matched the description that was given to police.

An investigation by the APD resulted in Towels being identified as the person responsible for illegally entering the residence.

Towels, who was currently out on bond for committing another residential burglary in the same area on Aug. 22, was taken into custody.

He was charged with burglary third-degree and transported to the Lee County Jail where he will be eligible for a $3,000 bond.
