Teens face judge in connection to fatal shooting

Two teens faced a Columbus judge Monday afternoon after being charged in the shooting death of a Montgomery man.
Columbus police say 18-year-old Amari Evans and a juvenile who is now charged with involuntary manslaughter made their first appearance before a judge.

The 16-year old is suspected of firing the shot that killed Benjamin Walker of Montgomery.

The shooting happened Saturday morning at a home on Baywood Court in Southeast Columbus.
Amari Evans is accused of making a false report and tampering with evidence.
