Rosie the Riveter Association hosts veteran's luncheon

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Rosie the Riveter Association held an event showing appreciation for the real Rosie’s.

Carol Cain portrayed Rosie the Riveter for the association’s veteran’s luncheon.

There were around 12 Rosie’s in attendance and there was also a Franklin Delano Roosevelt impersonator.

"Portraying Rosie allows me to continuously educate but to tell a story that needed to be told these women for too long thought the work they did was what they should do for the war," Cain said.

Cain has been operating Rosie for about 22 years and she performs reenactments and sings songs about Rosie.
