COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The City of Columbus Consolidated Government announced Wednesday that 11th Street will be closed to all through traffic between Broadway and First Avenue.
The closure will begin on Wednesday and is expected to be closed for approximately a month.
The closure will allow a contractor hired by the city to make street repairs caused by a broken sanitary sewer line.
Detour signs and alternate routes will be provided along Broadway, 13th Street and First Avenue. Drivers are urged to proceed with caution in the area of the road closure and detour route.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the road closure, you can contact Columbus Traffic Engineering Manager Doc Dorsey at (706)-225-3957.
