FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) – U.S. Army Ranger School is now officially open to women, according to an article in the Army Times.
The first class with both males and females started on Monday, Oct. 2. The Army has not stated how many female soldiers are participating in the first class.
Three women out of 19 students graduated from the school in what was called an Assessment Run of Integration at Fort Benning.
Now that the assessment is complete, the Army says the Ranger course is now open to men and women.
