PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The aunt of 21-year-old Zachary Winchester, who was killed in a crash this weekend, talked to us about his character.
"Great kid who did everything he possibly could for anybody and he had the biggest heart I've ever known," said Amy Keyser.
Keyser said her nephew Zachary was a phenomenal person.
"Like Superman, he would do anything possible to help out anyone he could. He would give the shirt off his back to somebody who didn't have it," she said.
The Russell County Coroner's Office said Winchester died at the scene of a car crash on Highway 80 West where the road switches from two lanes to one, around 2:30 Saturday morning.
He was a passenger in a Chevrolet Malibu that collided with an SUV backing into a driveway.
Four others, including his cousin, were sent to the hospital.
Zachary's mom said this is a nightmare, but she says she is taking it one day at a time.
Family members are still working to set up funeral arrangements with Vance Memorial Chapel but they tell me anyone is welcome to pay their respects.
