COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A high speed chase from East Alabama spilled over Thursday afternoon to several other counties, ending in Columbus.

According to Columbus police, the chase started with a suspected burglary in Lee County. An officer in Russell County says he saw the four suspects and their vehicle on Highway 280 and attempted to pull them over.

The suspects eventually sped into Columbus and crashed on South Lumpkin Road, where authorities say they captured two of them, including the driver. Two others involved in the chase ran away.
