COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Sporting enthusiasts, listen up! There's a brand new facility coming to the Fountain City.
Columbus State University and CORTA held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday for their new upcoming tennis facility.
The facility will feature 25 additional new courts, locker rooms, scoreboards and state-of-the-art court surface.
They also hope to install new cameras so that people can get a better view of the matches.
This project cost about $9 million and officials hope to complete it by August 2016.
CSU's president, Columbus mayor Teresa Tomlinson, and multiple city officials were all in attendance at the groundbreaking.
