COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus State University honored veterans with a ceremony Wednesday.
Veterans who are alumni of CSU were able to discuss the history of Veterans Day at the Schwob Memorial Library.
Military expert at CSU describes why it is important to honor all who have served today.
"On the 11th hour and the 11th month on the anniversary at the end of the first World War, the entire nation used to stop and contemplate not the causes of war, or the conduct of war, and the glories of war, even victory, but rather what they contemplated was the consequences and the cost of the war." Daniel Crosswell said, with Distinguished University Chair in Military History.
The program was sponsored by CSU's Department of Politics, Philosophy and Public Administration as was open to the public.
