OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) – Opelika police arrested three individuals who were allegedly involved in an armed robbery at Ashley Furniture, located at 2401 Interstate Drive.

It was reported that three armed individuals entered the store and robbed the employees and customers at gunpoint.

The suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers and detectives of the Opelika Police Department were able to locate the suspect vehicle on Ogletree Road in Auburn.

Officers contacted the vehicle and were able to take the three suspects into custody.

There were no injuries reported in the incident.

All three suspects were charged with two counts of robbery in the first-degree. Two of the suspects are juveniles, whose names will not be released. The third suspect is 20-year-old Alfred Charles Crowley, III, from the Beulah area of Lee County.

The two juveniles were automatically charged as adults under the Alabama Law. All three suspects were booked into the Lee County Detention Center where they await bond.

A joint investigation between the Opelika Police Department, the Auburn Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department is now underway.

These suspects are believed to be responsible for several area robberies, which have occurred recently.
