The third College Football Playoff rankings of the season were released by the College Football Playoff Committee on Tuesday.

LSU fell to No. 15 after being ranked No. 9 last week. The Tigers lost to Arkansas Saturday, 30-14.

LSU was originally ranked at the No. 2 spot in the first rankings before losing to Alabama, 30-16, on November 7.

The top four remain the same with the Clemson Tigers still at No. 1 along with Alabama at No. 2. The Crimson Tide jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 last week with their win over LSU.

The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish continue to round out the top four at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.

There are only two other SEC teams in the rankings with the Florida Gators moved up three spots to No. 8 and Ole Miss at No. 22.

Ole Miss was not ranked last week, but was ranked at No. 18 in the first week. The Tigers travel to Oxford this week to play Ole Miss on Saturday.

The rankings are released every Tuesday until the final rankings which come out on December 6. The top four teams will play in the Orange and Cotton bowls. The bowl games will be on New Year's Eve and serve as semi-final games with the winners of each game advancing to the National Championship game. That game will be played in Glendale, AZ on January 11.
