'Fantasy in Lights' returns to Callaway Gardens for 24th year

PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (WTVM) –It's another year of holiday fun and lights for the whole family at Callaway Gardens this year.

This holiday season marks the 24rd anniversary of "Fantasy in Lights" - named one of the "Top 10 Places to See Holiday Lights" by National Geographic Traveler - at Callaway Gardens, a year-round travel destination south of Atlanta.

"Fantasy in Lights" features 8 million lights stretching more than five miles, creating 15 larger-than-life holiday scenes. "Fantasy in Lights" at Callaway Gardens sets Pine Mountain, GA, ablaze from Nov. 20 through Dec. 30, 2015.

Purchasing tickets in advance, meaning prior to the day of visit, is strongly advised and provides discounted price. Advance ticket prices start at $19 for adults and $9.50 for children; children 5 and younger are always admitted for free. Ticket prices vary for certain days.

Tickets purchased on the same-day of visit are $28 for adults and $14 for children aged six to 12 years old, and will be sold on a first-available basis.

Also at Fantasy in Lights, Mrs. Claus will be available every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 20 for "Story Time with Mrs. Claus."

There are two Saturday sessions to choose from:  11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and one Sunday session at 1:30 p.m.

The cost is $12 per person ages 2 and older. Reservations are required for each person attending.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Ages 2 and younger are admitted for free but require a “free child’s ticket” when placing the order.

Father Christmas, a.k.a. Santa, is available nightly for photos, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. inside the Fantasy In Lights Christmas Village Nov. 20 through Dec. 24, though he may take a break during the evening.  No admission or ticket is required to access the Christmas Village, which also features shopping and dining.
