COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The City of Columbus announced their list of city services closures and amended times for the week of Thanksgiving.
The biggest change is coming to waste and recycle pick-up for the entire week.
On Monday, Nov. 23, household garbage and recycling will be collected for Monday's and Thursday's routes.
On Tuesday, Nov. 24, household garbage and recycling will be collected for Tuesday's and Friday's routes. Yard waste will not be collected the week of Nov. 23 through Nov. 27. Yard waste collection will resume their normal schedule beginning Monday, Nov. 30.
On Thursday, a number of other services will be closed, such as METRA bus services, the Granite Bluff/Pine Grove landfills, animal control, the department of parks and recreations, and the 311 Citizens Service Center.
