COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus woman decided to spend her Thanksgiving Day weekend in an adventurous way.
Mary Nail, 82, zip lined across the Chattahoochee River on Friday.
Nail was awarded the free ride from the River Center for her years of volunteering. Nail's family says she's very active and has quite the reputation for being a daredevil. Nail showed no fear as we spoke to her before the ride.
"I love it I love excitement. I am athletic. I am looking forward to it," Nail said.
Nail, who is the wife of former Muscogee County Superintendent Braxton Nail, encourages all seniors to try exciting activities like zip lining.
