Montgomery man arrested in Auburn for unlawful breaking and entering

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – The Auburn Police Division arrested 33-year-old Alvin Wright from Montgomery, AL on Monday, Nov. 30.

Wright was issued felony warrants including unlawful breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and theft of property in the second-degree, misdemeanor warrants for attempting to elude and resisting arrest.

The arrest was a result of Auburn police officers responding to an auto burglary call in the 200 block of Bragg Ave. on Nov. 28, 2015. Electronics and a firearm were stolen from a vehicle.

Wright was seen attempting to enter another vehicle in the area of West Glenn Avenue and Hemlock Drive. Property from the victim was discovered in Wright’s vehicle, which was a gray Ford Expedition, and officers discovered additional auto burglaries in the same area.

Wright was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $9,500 bond.

Auburn police are currently investigating additional automobile burglaries that occurred in the 700 block of Aspen Lane, 1000 block of S. College Street and the 800 block of W. Longleaf Drive.
