AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Auburn police arrested 27-year-old Tacoya Cobb on warrants charging him with two counts of robbery in the first-degree, burglary in the first-degree and an assault in the second-degree.
On Saturday, Dec. 5 around midnight, officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of N. Donahue Drive. Two suspects approached a male and female victim and demanded money and their cell phones and robbed them at gunpoint.
The suspects fled on foot after only taking a cell phone. The male victim was treated on the scene by paramedics for a minor injury he sustained during the incident and he was then released.
An investigation by Auburn police resulted in Cobb being developed as a suspect, and he was taken into custody by detectives on Monday, Dec. 7. This investigation is ongoing and an additional arrest is expected.
Cobb was taken to the Lee County Jail and he will be eligible for a $250,000 bond.
