Columbus benefits from 'Operation Saint Nick'

(WTVM) – In partnership with Operation one Voice, Gwinnett County Sheriff Deputies, Lawrenceville police and Georgia State Patrol are working together in support of Operation Saint Nick, and a Columbus family will benefit from this good cause.

Operation Saint Nick is an annual program that provides Walmart gift cards each in the amount of $100 to children of wounded or fallen Special Operations Forces service members.

To date, Operation Saint Nick has donated $211,526 to 2104 children of fallen and wounded Special Operations Forces families.

A recipient from last year responded saying, "I'm glad that there are organizations and great Americans out there who continue to support America's wounded SOF soldiers and veterans. I cannot express the gratitude that I have in my heart. Thank you for your generosity and dedication to those who have served."

Operation One Voice is a program designed by police officers, firefighters and community leaders to raise funds to help support the immediate needs of children and families of wounded and fallen Special Operations Forces.
