PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - An annual Christmas tradition kicked off in Phenix City Thursday night as the town hosted its annual Christmas Carnival.
It was held on Moon Lake at Idle Hour Park. Residents were able to enjoy activities such as carnival rides, a hay ride and live entertainment.
We caught up with a few carnival-goers to ask them what they enjoyed about this event.
"I've seen many things. There was one place where you can get a free candy cane if you buy a T-Shirt and crafts there was bunch of stuff," said Copeland Miller.
The event was capped by an appearance by St. Nick himself, as Santa Claus rode around in a raft around along Moon Lake.
