COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Brian K. Blankenship, 25, of Columbus plead guilty on Dec. 16 to one count of threats in interstate communications.

On Aug. 27, a concerned citizen contacted the FBI’s public access line to report a series of threats made against former film actress “Malena Morgan.”

The threats were posted by Blankenship under the name “Joe Cook” and were published on the social networking site Periscope.

In his comments, “Joe Cook” threatened to kill “Malena” by a variety of methods, primarily by shooting her. He further stated he would record the murder and post it on social media.

When the FBI questioned Blankenship, he admitted to the threats and said it was because “Malena” refused to publicly acknowledge the gifts he had sent her.

Blankenship will remain in custody until his sentencing on April 12, 2016.
